The zoomed-in map shows a bunch of stuff about the trip. Sorry I kind of screwed up the GPS tracking, which is why out actual trail only shows up for Wednesday and Thursday. But the "waypoints" (special places I marked on the GPS) fortunately got saved for the whole trip.

The waypoints are the numbers from 1-19. Numbers 1-5 were for Monday, and you can see they end at out first campsite, between Island Lake and Round Lake.

I actually only marked where we parked the cars at the very end (#19) and it is at 7459' (the elevations may not be absolutely accurate, but they are very good for relative changes.)

I think #4 is where we had lunch at Milk Lake. The elevations for the first day were:

#2 7182'
#3 7086'
#4 7013'
#5 6896'

So we dropped a good 550 feet that first day

Then we hiked up to Penner Lake on Tuesday (from #5 to #7). Sorry I don't have our track, but #6 was at 6901' and the campsite at the lake was at around 6800'

Then finally on Wednesday I figured out what was going on with the GPS, so I have the actual track from then to the end of the trip. I wandered around a bit(!), then we finally headed up to Crooked Lake. We passed waypoints #8 - #16 at elevations:

#8 6919'
#9 7070'
#10 6780'
#11 6782
#12 6738'
#13 6408'
#14 6591'
#15 6647'
#16 6633' (this point is at N39 24.555 W120 36.236 in case you're looking for us on a map!)

We left Penner at about 9:20 am and arrived at Crooked around 1:40 pm. You can see our meandering around exploring Middle Lake with Sy and finally going cross-country to Crooked Lake.

Then on Thursday we hiked back up. Starting at 9:05 am, starting at #16, we passed points #17 & #18:

#16 6633'
#17 6912'
#18 7076'
#19 7459'

and finally arrived at the car at #19, at 7459' at 2:48 pm. The climb that last day was a good 800' -- but what a spectacular view!! (Finally Bill I got that number for ya!)
